the news reports on the radio said it was getting worse...

The day has revolved around fire. I was stuck in traffic on the 118 east this morning due to the Sylmar fires. It took me 90 minutes to drive 20 miles (you do the math). I made it to school on time, had class, had a private drum lesson, had a latte on my break, went back to class, started practicing, got a phone call and drove home. There was (is) a possibility we were (are) going to evacuate in case the fire spread into the neighborhood, so I came home in case I needed to pack up all of my belongings. I think we will be safe from the flames...but you never know. The hills are still burning. My aunt and I went and watched houses burn down from across the ridge. My sweater smells like smoke.

They call speed bumps "Speed Humps" in Granada Hills. I think that's funny.

I'm Glad that summer is over, Its starting to feel like fall!

I feel like going sailing or something.
I bet I could make that happen since I don't live that far from the ocean. I would probably have to pay someone, because I don't know how to sail. Maybe I will learn one day! But for now, it's not important. Or maybe it is! What if I was meant to be the first to sail around the world!?

If I'm a stranger and you're a stranger...is it strange?

well today was the completion of week one at musicians institute. I am both physically and mentally tired, but eager to get my butt back in the practice room tomorrow for some more practicing. Everything is great at school! I do miss people at home.

Today I found a shortcut (well at least a little escape from some 101 traffic). I felt good about that... I told my self "Im so smart" out loud in the car. It happens. I also found a cool cafe where I will probably be eating lunch at again in the near future. So cute. Organic. You know... free wifi. YES!

Had coffee with my Swedish friends after class. Good times, fun guys.

I took some photo booth pictures tonight. Thought it might be fun... and something that doesn't require a lot of energy. pretty much me sitting at my desk. :)

you know when you're in school...and you're not suppose to laugh?

I have watched this about 10 times in the last two months, and it gets funnier and funnier everytime I watch it.

This is Jenny Lewis and Her drummer Jason Boesel (whom I love by the way...for his personality and his incredible drumming. He also plays for Rilo Kiley, Bright Eyes, Mr. Oberst....no big deal...)

have i ever been to yosemite? no, but I wish I went to the free Josh Ritter concert there last week

have i ever moved away from my family? yes, in fact i did about 12 hours ago :(

have i ever seen paranormal alien activity? no, but i watch the x-files and im getting closer to the truth
